LAURA FREEMAN, FROM LAURA'S LEAN BEEF TO HOMESTEAD ALTERNATIVES CBD

Laura Freeman

You might remember me as “Laura,” who started Laura’s Lean Beef 35 years ago. Back then, I was ahead of the times in introducing antibiotic-free, locally pastured beef to millions of Americans.

Now I’m doing something similar with Laura’s Homestead Alternatives CBD products.

My life’s turning point came when I had a serious horseback riding accident that left me with chronic full-body pain. I sold the beef company, retired and moved to the coast.

My daughter ran the farm and in 2015 started raising hemp in Kentucky’s innovative program.

Still recovering, but a farmer at heart, I visited several times a year, attending hemp meetings around the state.

It was at these meetings I learned about CBD oil, but the first product I tried, a CBD isolate, didn’t work. So, I wrote it off, focusing on hemp grain and dark chocolate for healthy candy.

JUST ONE DROPPER A DAY AND MY PAIN GOES AWAY

Later that year, a fellow hemp producer told me about full spectrum CBD and suggested a dosage, while another person forwarded me the National Institute of Health patent.

I studied the patent and tried the full spectrum CBD…

And it worked!

My full-body pain from the horseback riding accident vanished, and my osteoarthritis was much improved.

This led me to start Laura’s Homestead Alternatives, a line of full spectrum CBD oils, lotions and creams, edibles, and more.

Now, with just one dropper of Homestead Alternatives Full Spectrum CBD Oil each day, I’m pain-free and able to take on the world.

This year marks our sixth season of participation in the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s hemp program.

Here at Mt. Folly Farm, we are raising USDA certified organic hemp for CBD, hemp for grain, and hemp for fiber.
